Battering Ram

Installation for ‘The Appetite for Destruction’ show curated by Lion vs Gorilla at the Fulton Street Collective in March 2013.

This installation was the beginning of the end for most of the large concrete sculptures that I made over a two and half year span. The objects were hung and arranged - connected to each other in a form of sculptural collage. Viewers were invited to destroy the concrete installation using a variety of tools. A battering ram was built out of concrete, re-bar and wire, an abstract object that was activated by the viewers as the instrument force against the sculptural assemblage.
